The condominium-hotel expansion of the Hard Rock Hotel has been postponed and buyers are being offered a refund on their deposits, according to Hard Rock owner Peter Morton.

As per Broker Raymond Ware, the sales office for the 1,200-unit project that was announced only last year is now closed and the sales staff terminated.

Owner Peter Morton said he has already received offers to buy the Hard Rock. Any transaction would include the 24 acre expansion behind the hotel, now the site of an apartment complex.
