Las Vegas Homes BlogLas Vegas real estate blog with market conditions, news and availability of Las Vegas homes and condos as presented by RE/MAX Associates. Saturday, July 01, 2006Developers Rewarded For Being Environment Friendly
Partial tax abatements are given to Las Vegas developers who meet or exceed standards that were established by the U.S. Green Building Council. According to the Nevada Commission on Economic Development another step has been taken to reward those Las Vegas real estate developers who show that they are doing their best to develop more environmentally friendly structures.
The council decides which real estate developers will receive the tax abatement based on the LEED Rating System, for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. Points are awarded in several different fields which allows more than one Las Vegas developer to be in the running for the tax break. |
