Las Vegas Homes BlogLas Vegas real estate blog with market conditions, news and availability of Las Vegas homes and condos as presented by RE/MAX Associates. Tuesday, June 28, 2005Aqua Blue Las Vegas High Rise Condos Canceled
The Aqua Blue project has been canceled. The six-acre development project backed by basketball star Michael Jordan would have been located at the current site of the Ellis Island Casino & Brewery at Koval Lane and Flamingo Road.
Plans were for an 825-unit condominium-hotel with a 65,000-square-foot Michael Jordan Athletic Center and two Jordan restaurants. The project developer, Chicago-based Diversified Real Estate Concepts, blamed increased construction costs for the cancellation. The Las Vegas high-rise was reportedly over 50 percent sold-out. Nevada Title will be sending refund checks to buyers in the near future. |
