Reports show that records are being set in new Las Vegas home sales already in 2004. According to a report by Home Builders Research there has been a record 29,248 new homes sold in the first four months of 2004. This is an increase of almost 16% from 2003.

There were over 3,000 closings in the month of December last year says Dennis Smith, president of the local housing research company. The number of newly constructed homes permitted for 2004 increased 30% from 2003. This has helped the numbers stay positive for the local real estate market.
